We aren't far from fire stations ourselves, and one of the main routes
for them is a few houses away from us... so we tune them out, too... ;) 
We're only about a mile from the main train tracks, too... close enough
to not only hear the whistle at night, but also the train rumbling on
the tracks when it's quiet enough...

About what I was expecting... what with all the unknowns about Bill...
and Steve's parents not getting any younger either...  :)   You're about
halfway between Catskills/western NY and Florida where your other kin
are, right...?
