So how often was the vaccuum cleaner taken to the car? (G) Steve did a
bit of pulpit supply before he went into the Army; I remember making my
own version of egg (mc) muffins to take at least one Sunday when the
girls were small. Had to make sure I had at least one change of outfit
for them in case they messed up their dresses while eating in the car.
The English muffins were home made then, something I probably ought to
do again instead of buying them.

My mom would usually get a roast going, most often beef Sunday morning
before going to church. Sometimes she would do a ham and we'd be eating
off of it for what seemed like all the next week. Leftovers from a roast
beef would only be enough for one more meal tho. Either one, the sides
were mashed potatoes, gravy (only with the beef, Mom never made ham
gravy) and a vegetable. Dad was, and is not much of a rice eater.

It must have been something quite different for them to be such a
memory. One place in AZ when Steve preached, the chairman of the deacons
& his wife took us to a small cafe; the specialty of the house was
chicken fried steak. It was quite good. (G) They asked if Steve would
consider pastoring the church but he couldn't, with the military
committment.

For sure! I appreciate all the help I can get in a time like that.

Pretty much knew it; we used the system quite often.

Saw her today but didn't make any plans as we just popped in for a few
minutes to drop a couple of things off. We'll probably do a text chat in
the next couple of days to set things up.

Maybe, but it sounded like he knew what couscous was.
