Your dad sounds like he was quite competant in the kitchen. Did he live
on his own for a time before he got married or did his mom bring him up
to be comfortable in the kitchen?

A win/win situation there. I've seen some of it around here with the
seminary & college; UPS hires quite a few of the guys.

More memorable is when I made my first cake from scratch--Mom dropped a
layer taking the pans out of the oven! She cut the other layer in half
and frosted it but it only lasted for one meal, instead of the usual 2.
It was my favorite chocolate cake too. (G)

I ought to grab it next time I'm up and send it to Sarah & Audrey. Sarah
is old enough to start using it; she will be 6 in a couple of weeks.

Mom usually did the vaccuuming but we were responsible for putting
various things away.

I'm going to hold off--too close to the end of the month to be
comfortable spending much more money.

Thanks, got the word Bill was in a private room because of some sort of
infection. Hope it wasn't a MERSA type but wouldn't be surprised if it
were. He's standing a bit longer now but still a long way to go.

Rachel's family is all on one schedule except for the administrative
hours David puts in. Deborah has one schedule she needs to be up on but
be aware of another one to see how it meshes with family plans. It's a
couple more years yet before Logan goes to school.
