One hopes that with its expansion the "falcon cannot hear the
falconer" problem doesn't come up. We can't blame the shortcomings
of the Williamsport store on that - I first encountered that one
over a decade ago.

I don't know why Costco is higher rated than BJ's except that
if one says that one likes Costco, it's likely to be interpreted
differently than if one says that one likes BJ's. Sam's is Sam's.

This one. I think it's no fair. Why, for example, no
Zabar's? Dean & Deluca and Fairway, for that matter.

Pure arbitrariness on the part of the author. Although I

My problems in northern Europe have been minimal - is it
because they're cleaner in general there, or do I have
a eurocentric immune system? Of course in Japan and
Singapore nobody has such issues. Where else? Can't think
of anywhere; after all, do bears crap in the water?

I think that if you have a working immune system even
Montezuma's or George's won't do you more damage than a day
or two of bellyaching. I admit I'm pretty careful when in
Asia (except for the aforementioned countries) or Central
America, but someday out of sheer orneriness I might try
the tap water experiment starting in Hong Kong and maybe
ending up in Bangkok (notoriously dirty). While I'm still
generally healthy of course.

King crab cakes
categories: celebrity, seafood, starter, main
servings: 4

1 lb king crab meat (fresh, frozen, or imitation)
3 Tb mayonnaise
3 Tb mustard
3 eggs
1 sm onion, minced
1/2 green pepper, minced
1/2 red pepper, minced
1 c seasoned bread crumbs
1 Tb parsley
oil (for cooking)

Put all ingredients except oil in a large bowl and mix well.
Shape into about 12 cakes. Use an ice cream scoop to make
cakes, and then flatten.

Use a nonstick pan to fry them in oil on medium heat until
golden brown on both sides, about 3 to 5 min on both sides.
