Acid in general may be troublesome for you, but phosphoric
isn't a particularly troublesome acid, and you don't get much
in Coke anyhow. They say that the phosphorus competes with
your calcium, but that's the main bad thing it does.

Getting soda out of your diet is a good idea in any case,
and lowering acid is probably a good idea, but getting rid
of soda isn't in itself doing much about your acid balance.

Fried is best, but there are plenty of ways of making
it edible.

Looks pretty good. You can do this with tuna fish, too,
and I imagine other things.

Okra with meat sauce (MEESOV BAMIYA)
cat: Armenian, main
servings: 4

1 lb lamb or beef, cubed
2 c water
l cn or 2 pk frozen okra
1 lg onion, chopped
3/4 cn tomato paste
salt, pepper to taste
3 c water
2 ts oil (to 1 Tb)
lemon juice (fresh preferred)

Cook cubes of meat in 2 c of water. Boil until tender.
When water has evaporated, add oil, then add the onion
and fry until golden brown. Add tomato paste and 3 c
water. Add your okra (if canned, add the water from
can, too). Add lemon juice and season to taste. Cook
in a large pot on moderate heat for 30 to 45 min. If
canned okra is used, cook until most of the water has
evaporated. You may use fresh okra if available. Serve
with rice or bulghr pilaf.
