===========================
Hi Nancy,

NB> NB>> I see we got a large dump of different dates from you finally...

RH> The log jam broke, finally!

 NB> Finally!! :)

Now I'm just trying to keep caught up on a day to day or every other day
basis.

NB> RH>> It was lunch time, both times I've had it. Could be, they've
NB> gotten a RH>> different cook in the time between our visits.
NB> NB>> Or, they've had more than one cook, and you got a different one
NB> the NB>> second time from the first....

RH> Could be, but it was still good.

 NB> Just a little different... :)

Yes, but not impossible to deal with different.

NB> NB>>> than before...? But, exactly, one doesn't know how one might
NB> NB>>> like something until one tries... :)
NB> RH>> True, it was good, if a bit on the hot side. It warmed me up
NB> quickly, RH>> as did Steve's spicy chicken, him.
NB> NB>> Both thermal and spicy heat, then...? :) We had a spicy noodle
 NB> dish

RH> Yes, and it would have been extra good today as we didn't get above
 RH> freezing.

NB> Yeah, we've been having colder temps here, too... :)

We're warming up to the low 50s this week end but back down to the 30s
early next week. Not having the snow that we saw western NY got tho.

NB> NB>> today at the new Malaysian place... the last thing supposedly
NB> how spicy... given NB>> a choice between 3 and 4, we took 3... and
NB> that turned out to be a NB>> nice heat... a little tingle and lots of
 NB> flavor... :)

 RH> Sounds yummy.

NB> 'Twas... :) Another place that, should we have extra time with you
NB> sometime, you might want to try... :)

I usually ask about the heat level to try and get an idea of what to
expect. Then too, each place seems to have a different definition of hot
than the next one. (G)

NB> it was fairly RH>> basic as we were still settling moving dust and
NB> left a few days after RH>> Christmas for NY.
NB> NB>> We did go to Seoul House for Christmas Eve... split an
NB> appetizer-size NB>> seafood pancake and then an order of spicy
 NB> squid... both very nice...

RH> Rachel made chicken paprikash with home made spaezle for Christmas
RH> eve. It was good but we ate late (went to a light show).

NB> That sounds like fun... :) and good food, too... :)

The meal was better than the show. The show was a lot of static
displays.

NB> think we NB>> managed to take them by surprise, coming in only for
NB> dessert... ;) NB>> Decided on a bowl of red bean ice cream to
 NB> share... :)

RH> Nice to change things up every so often.

 NB> They certainly didn't mind... :)

Did they have a busy week end?

NB> Korean NB>> place, I did notice on the menu at Seoul House something
NB> that looked a NB>> lot like a rolled sushi, seaweed on the outside,
NB> but it was called NB>> something else... they have new menus now,
NB> that is made of pictures NB>> of the different items with the name
NB> and price... I ended up asking NB>> to see one of the older menus
NB> (still available when we were there) to NB>> be sure I was getting
 NB> what I wanted... :)

RH> Good to keep some of the old menus around for folks like you. I'm not
RH> sure what the Koreas sushi thing was but it didn't taste bad. Not
RH> nearly as good as Fu's tho. We also tried a Fry's (grocery store in AZ)
RH> samples of a sushi, both the spicy (with siracha) an non spicy. Again,
RH> they didn't compare to Fu's, but not bad. Never did swing back to the
RH> sushi area to get some for lunch tho.

 NB> Yeah, I know... once you've had Fu's, there's a benchmark that no one
NB> else quite seems to meet... ;) I know there are decent sushi places
NB> in the Phoenix Valley, we've had the opportunity to try some, while
NB> the kid still lived out there...

This was probably ok for grocery store sushi but as you say, we've had
much better. I don't know if Deborah is into sushi or not--have to ask
her--we might make a trip to one of the places some time.

NB> NB>>>> Might be better to send to Richard, same as mine except
NB> NB>>>> rjbackus instead of backus... ;) He can handle the bigger
 NB> NB>>>> emails a lot easier... :)
NB> RH>>> OK, I'll make sure he knows to send the pictures to Richard.
NB> RH>>> Probably easier to see on the computer than the phone.
NB> RH>>> I passed the work on, don't know if he's sent the pictures yet.
NB> NB>>> As far as I know he hasn't... at least Richard hasn't said
NB> NB>>> anything about it yet...
NB> RH>> I'll put a bug in his ear about it; he's been a bit preoccupied
NB> the RH>> last few days.
NB> NB>> You were pretty busy back then on getting ready for your trip...
NB> and NB>> since then, being on the trip.... after all... ;)

RH> Yes, and now we're home, getting caught up on any & every thing.

 NB> Eventually... :)

I'll try to remember to make sure I let Steve know he needs to do that.

Catch you later,
Ruth
