No, you don't. But, hey-diddle-diddle, right up the middle is a lot closer than

Suffice it to say that I do not tolerate demagogues well - of any political or
religious stripe.

In other news - I steamed six eggs yesterday. Three from the stupormarkup batch
and three free-range, relatively fresh (1 week from the farm) that I picked up
at Parson's Produce. I used a 3 qt pot and a stainless steel fold up steamer
basket over gently simmering water. Marked the store-bought eggs with a Sharpie
so I'd be able to tell them from the Farmstand eggs when all was said and done.

Peeled one of each when I returned from Iowa last evening ... that went well.
The yolk on the farm egg was much less bright yellow than the yolk of store egg
.. and seemed to have a bit more flavour.
 
The other four will go into tuna salad at some future date. I have 20 cans of
"Port Side" chunk light in water to burn through. And I finally located a
source for dill relish. Now I need to mooch a rib or two of celery - I hate to
buy a whole stalk when I only need one or two pieces. It's just wasteful.

Unless I care to get semi-ambitious ...

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06
 
      Title: Celery Potage
 Categories: Five, Soups, Vegetables, Poultry, Udd
      Yield: 8 Servings
 
      2 qt Chicken Broth
    1/2    Stalk (not rib) celery;
           - chopped small *
      1 lg Onion; chopped
      6 cl Garlic; peeled, squished
           Salt & Pepper
 
  Put two quarts of chicken broth (1 48 oz can and 1 16 oz
  can) and add chopped celery, onion and garlic in the crock
  pot. Add salt and pepper.
  
  Turn unit on to low and go to work.
  
  When you come home get out the immersion blender (Cajun
  motorboat) and puree potage until as smooth as you like.
  Soup will be thick and creamy.
  
  Taste for seasoning and add S&P as needed.
  
  You can add a couple diced potatoes to this to stretch
  it out a bit, if you like. If you use tatties - add more
  salt.
  
  * I first built this dish when I had a half stalk (bunch)
  of celery in the ice box that was past using in salads or
  anything requiring crunch - but, was too good to bin.
