Look for them co-located with *some* Long John Silver stores. Not, by 
any stretch all of the LJS, though. We used to have four Long John's, 
three of which had A&W with. One of those is now a discount tobacco 
"smoke-easy" and another is a leech loan (payday thieves) company 
office. The location with the A&W is clear across town from me and faces
competition from Red Robin, Smash Burger, Five Guys, etc. --- all of 
those MUCH easier to get to than the LJS/A&W store.

The former A&W Drive-In is now a drive through beer, wine and liquor 
store with a prominent sign on the drive-up lane that says "No LOUD 
MUSIC. Turn it down and hang up the cell or be ignored!"

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

      Title: Beer Griddle Cakes w/Pilgrim Syrup
 Categories: Breads, Beer, Sauces
      Yield: 4 servings

  1 3/4 c  All-purpose flour
  1 1/2 ts Baking powder
    1/2 ts Baking soda
    1/2 ts Salt
      1 lg Egg
      3 tb Oil
      1 tb Molasses
           Bottled beer

MMMMM-----------------------PILGRIM SYRUP---------------------------
      1 c  Brown sugar; packed
    1/2 c  Beer
      1 tb Butter; (opt) 

  This unusual griddle cake recipe features beer in both the
  batter and the syrup.

  For batter, mix dry ingredients. Beat egg with oil and
  molasses. Add to dry ingredients along with beer. Stir
  lightly, just until blended.

  Batter with be slightly lumpy and somewhat thick. Using
  about 2 Tablespoons batter for each griddlecake, spoon
  batter onto hot and very lightly greased griddle.

  Spread with back of spoon to 3 1/2 to 4 inches in
  diameter. Cook until browned turning once.

  For The Syrup: Combine ingredients in saucepan and boil
  for a couple minutes. Makes 2/3 cups.
