  I can remember the pyjammas I had for bedtime, when I was young,as
the emblem on the front would "glow" in the dark.   Only had it about

  On the Chernobil accident, I will always remember the heroic Russian
Airforce Helicopter pilot, that died afterwards for too much radiation.
He flew all those missions to seal the plant, and in doing so saved so
many lives of the people.    They tried to save him by bringing him
to the USA for treatment, but he unfortunately died.    My disgrace
is forgetting his name.   I wish that one day he obtains the highest
decroation the country can give him, and honour his family, for his
unselfish deeds.

  It happens all the time, and only history in the end when uncovered
tells the sad,cold facts.   The 1967 war was well known,most knew it
was coming.

  I call the mosqitoes  "flying teeth".  Yes we have them, but the
lake breezes and cool breezes keep them away from me.  There is a
combination of things to eat that, when secreated through the skin
keeps them at bay, so is better not having to buy the cans of anti
mosquitoe sprays.

  Close to shore, when in a boat , the shorline acts to change direction
of air masses, as well the shorline, repels any wave action.  Close to
shore, the waves comeback off the beach and hit the incoming swells
and they combine, thus if in sync we would get a larger wave.   With
winds coming to the shore, they can be deflected either way, thus
causing readjustments or trim of the sails.    I always like
offshore sailing, then being too close due to the rough waters,
and during a storm if I can not get into harbour, I will ride out
a storm well off shore.    Coastal effects in a storm are multiplied
many times,and the combined wind and wave actions are big plus to
tell anyone to weather out the storm , well off shore.

  They do  have a series of canals, to give me access to Lake Ontario, to
the south, as well the open sea, via a few interesting routes.  For Lake
Huron, well I think there is a way and you end up in Georgian Bay, one
part via a marine railway system.    The idea of course is to buy a season
ticket for the canal system and then plan the trip, and where to spend
the night.    The canal is very busy, and you do need a crew.

  I am planning my trip to see relatives in Scotland and England
and France soon.   We would like to see as much as possible and we're
looking into how much time we'll have, as now with this United Europe
experience, and barriers coming down all over the places, I guess the
train can even stop in Moscow or Pejing, with if all happening so fast.

  I have to get back to working in my yard Alexander.   Thank you so
much for the great exchanges.   As always with most on the fidonet
etc...I hope oneday we can all meet sometime...It would be terrfic.
