Just the 'flab' part!   These words and the "new" definitions are 
much like the pun threads I know and love.   And, there is 'aghast'!  

 ARS> 3. Abdicate(v.), to give up all hope of ever having a flat stomach.

'Abs' are your stomach muscles.   [ABdominal muscles]  
 
 ARS> 4. Esplanade(v.), to attempt an explanation while drunk.

'Esplan..' is the slurring of 'explain'.  


 ARS> 5. Willy-nilly(adj.), impotent.
 ARS> zero-will?

That one might be considered a bit risque for this Echo...  'Willy' is 
a euphamism for a body part.  


 ARS> 8. Gargoyle(n.), olive-flavored mouthwash.

That's 'gargle' + 'oyle'.  But, you need to know that Popeye's 
girl friend is 'Olyve Oyle'.  

 
 ARS> 12. Rectitude(n.), the formal, dignified bearing adopted by
 ARS> proctologists.
 
Check out the definition of 'rectum'.  


 ARS> 15. Frisbeetarianism(n.), (back by popular demand): The belief that,
 ARS> when you die, your Soul flies up onto the roof and gets stuck there.

That's been one of my taglines for a vry long time!   It should 
be:  Presbyterians   Do you know what a frisbee is?

From 'circumsize' and 'vent', where 'vent' is like a zipper...

Much like we're doing now!  'Chasm' is wide gap.

'Latte' is a type of coffee.  It is about an inoculation with caffeine! 

 ARS> 11. Dopeler effect(n): The tendency of stupid ideas to seem smarter
 ARS> when they come at you rapidly.

 ARS> An edition of "Doppler effect". Plus what?

See 'dope'.  Add the Doppler observation to it!  


Some of the words in question are really words.  They are plays on them 
and their combinations as I annoted above.  'Abdicate' is real, but the 
definition given above is not.  

I found them funny.  But, I'm an English speaker with a rather 
warped sense of humor!
