Thanks Michael for the article. The high school computing studies
syllabus in my neck of the woods requires me to wax lyrical to my
students about AI software. I tell them that it is conspicuous by its
absence where it is needed most: hospital emergency reception and MS
Windows Help. Each of these situations can more than justify the
investment in AI software, but to the best of my knowledge, no such
investment has been made. I suggest that AI is vapourware, it has not
evolved, but I will be happy to hear arguments to the contrary. 
(If you think that Windows Help is intelligent, then we will have to
agree to disagree)

Here are 38 AI programs used in medical use. Some decommissioned.
Several used routinely. Some under evaluation. I tried to find
information on AI with microsoft windows help and from my search there
doesn't seem to be anything. Also, as far as AI programs for MS and
other systems they seem to be relegated to video games and chats
although it appeared a few had other applications.

I wouldn't call AI vapourware. It's obviously being used to a limited
extent in industry and there has to be some continuing investment in it.
As a teacher you sound frustrated the "golden promises" of AI haven't
materialized to the extent where it is useful for you. Eventually I
imagine it will trickle down. I've never used an AI program. Obviously
the AI programs are only as "good" as those who designed them.

Sharp Healthcare to Install MEDai
Artificial Intelligence Systems

powerful tools will help Sharp analyze, evaluate and track patient
outcomes.
