Oh!  *That* was my point ...

Since the Netherlands of today has nowhere *near* the power the 
Netherlands had a few centuries back, that doesn't scare me.

But if you (collectively) sell your US stock, the price will drop 
and I'll be able to pick some up at a bargain price. After all, 
the profits of those companies will still roll and the 
shareholders will benefit.

I see no reason why you should envy me.  However the *world* 
envies the United States of America because we're so generous to 
the rest of the world, so successful economically and so powerful 
militarily.

BTW, the next time Germany invades France through Belgium and The 
Netherlands you can probably count on our help again ... that's 
the kind of generous, forgiving people we are, always willing to 
help the less fortunate ...
