I replaced the roof on a house in 2004.  $2,800 and change to remove the old
and
replace it with good quality asphalt shingles.  'course the house measures 22 x
28
feet. <g>

Oddly enough, the *local* (Plattsmouth, Nebraska) roofing contractor that I
hired
to do the roof had employees who spoke v-e-r-y good Spanish (and very little
English).
And that contractor was going to remove the several extra packages of shingles
that
weren't used and I made them leave the d*mn things; after all, I'd already PAID
for
them, even if they weren't used.  Still have 'em (stack of unopened packages
that's
about 3 feet high), gonna use them to re do the roof of my dog kennel (which
measures
about 14x24 feet).
