BF>> So why didn't you learn then to read it all before making judgements?

JS> I have already explained my reasons. I try not to make judgements
JS> because as you say one post does not a thread make. But I do respond to
JS> single posts frequently. You will notice too that I try not to referance
JS> or judge things beyond those in that particular message that I am
 JS> responding to.

We have to agree to diagree then because I don't but your explanation that
easy.

BF>> You overlooked the original post than as you did now. Usually I read
BF>> every post in a thread before responding and since I don't see you
BF>> participate in anything else except from when America is being
BF>> "attacked" (hope you remember how " " is used) I quite don't
 BF>> understand your agenda.

JS> That is because I don't have one. What a concept. That is were we
JS> differ then. I don't have the time to wade through xx number of pointless
JS> name callig, game playing messages to respond to the one that will make
JS> those on both sides of an issue happy. I respond to those that I read when
JS> I read them. There is no Agenda.

Everyone have an agenda, so do I.

JS>>> Considering the BS level around here it would only seem like
JS>>> a reasonable course of action. I have neither the time or the interest
JS>>> to read all the messages that come in here. And no, I don't read all of
JS>>> either you or Roy's messages.

BF>> But somehow you managed to read my question to Roy....

 JS> Lucky you.

Somehow I don't think so.

JS> There are a number of reasons why I may or may not read
JS> a particular message. Do you really want me to list them? Is it that big
JS> of a deal? Bottom line Björn, I am not singling you out in any way
JS> regarding what messages I respond too. I simply reply to those that I read
JS> when I read them. If warrented (By me) I may read a few prior messages but
JS> that doesn't mean that I will nessesarily respond to those prior messages.
JS> I know that you will likely look at that as selectivity. If it is it isn't
JS> for the reasons that you think or would like to suggest.

As I said, we have to agree to disagree.

BF>> As I've said before, if I should play his game and respond to everything
BF>> he says, this echo would would contain over 50 msg./day from me but I let
 BF>> him do that.

JS> There you go. I have very little time for name calling or game
JS> playing. Hence I don't post messages all that much. Now get me talking
JS> about computers or amateur radio and then we'll talk. <g>

I've just bought a new little 12.1" toy with everything. A Fujisu-Siemens Amilo
Pro V3205 and if you're intrested in more you should see my Internet
connection.
I get it via radio so I have a dish for that at a neighbours house and from
there it
coms to me via a D-Link radio-link with 2 additional dish'es.

BF>> But you haven't learned when I or for example Ward, are serious or
BF>> pushing buttons. That is to be a bit of a selective reader.

JS> The selectivity if there is some is more based on how serious
JS> the message or thread is versus the BS content. It isn't based on the
JS> poster as we all say smart, intelligent, dumb, insulting, thoughtful,
 JS> ignorant, sacastic things.

JS> Then I have some learning to do then. When people better understand
JS> each other then something important has been accomplished.

I think (hope anyway) that I know everyone excep 2.

JS>>> I tend to overlook the BS
JS>>> and focus on the more serious stuff. What little there still is. You
JS>>> probably see that as selective reading on my part. It actually may be
JS>>> but not for the reasons that you suggest.

BF>> Yes, I do since, see above, you don't partitipate in anything else than
BF>> when America is being "attacked".

JS> Looks like you have some learning to do too. Huh?

The only one who can convince me about that it you.

JS>>> Maybe when I grow old and feeble minded I can read and post
JS>>> more. Adding more giberish to the existing giberish. Gosh.... We there
 JS>>> already? Wow, short trip.

BF>> What's considered BS or not is up to the reader

 JS> True enough.

And then it's just to use Next key.

 BF>> and if you consider
BF>> it's BS to understand for example how it is to ride a bike through
BF>> Australia like David has done is up to you. For the rest (some anyway) of
BF>> us it is to getting to know how life can be traveling that way and to see
BF>> the pics from that trip was very interesting. But if you don't have that
BF>> interest it's just to use the "next" key but don't call it BS. Some of us
BF>> do have an interset of understanding how others have it, how they live
 BF>> and what they do.

JS> Please don't put words in my mouth. What you referance is the stuff
JS> nice intelligent coversations are made of. BS to me consists of things
JS> like name calling, swearing, game playing, baiting, bravado, needless
JS> sarcasm, etc. Some people seem to think that some of those are nessesary
JS> in order to communicate. I do not. You might get an occasional 'Damn' or
JS> 'Shit' out of me and an occasional attempt at being a smartass.

That' how it should be. Pity that not everyone have gotten that.
