I guess the tests you get now when you can, show lower so that's ok.  For us,
it was critical to get a handle on it so the home kit was a very good idea.

Old story for me revisited, but not mentioned *here* in this echo.  My
husband's Doc (new one now as he's moved but the regular for a long time) is
Japanese.  Practices up in Fukuoka now (2 hour train ride).  He's studied the
changes US type folks get when adapting to Japanese diet which is much higher
in sodium than the USA one.

What I tell you is from him and i have trust in him.  Japanese are normally not
sodium reactive all that much.  Americans are but not all (other studies show
this as well).  Radical change in sodium levels can bring on hypertension that
otherwise would not be noted until much later in life-cycle.  Testing by
eating a 'normal' (high sodium meal) then BP test, then go to reduced sodium
and see the effects.  Don is stable at 2,000 MG a day sodium (USA recommneded
level is fine for him).  My system does not react to sodium (at least, no BP
reaction).

The Doc tests all sorts of things and uses a diet treatment when possible.

So, it cant 'hurt' to reduce your sodium, just may not always be what is
needed.
