For some reason, that affected more of the lower VHF TV channels. i.e.
WOC-TV was on channel 6 and located in Davenport, IA, about 60 air miles
to the SW of where we lived.  Our TV antenna would have been pointed
across that HAM's property to get that station. The strongest TV signal
came from Rockford, IL, about 25 air miles due east of us on channel 13.
Not much interference to that channel was experienced.

We helped a friend move out of her house a couple of years ago. In a large
box I found a bunch of CB radios w/mics and a antenna, less radials. In
among the radios were some after-market mics. One was/is a hand-held and
chromed 'd-104' for a mobile radio. A couple of amplified antiques also in
the mess. I saved out the spare mics, but the mics that came with those
radios stayed with them. Will put them up for sale (tested, but as is) at
my next garage sale. The broken/modified radios will be used for target
practice... 8^)
