===========================
Hi, Allen Prunty!
I read your message from 06.08.2016 19:20

  ak>>>> There is also one more reason for aggression. If a nation is
  ak>>>> peaceful and defenceless a temptation arouses to conquer it.
  ak>>>> Americans, Britons, Germans, Spaniards, in short any strong
  ak>>>> nation looked for their prey - poor nations in Asia, Africa,
  ak>>>> America, Australia. We could surely add Antarctica either if it
  ak>>>> had been populated. Lands of Persian Gulf were also occupied by
  ak>>>> strong nations. At that time Jews saw that they can easily
  ak>>>> capture Palestine, having a justification that they lived there
  ak>>>> two thousand years ago.

  AP> Actually, it started in 1948 after World War II. Hitler had an Ally
  AP> in the Arabs as many of them wanted the Jews to die... they wanted
  AP> the territory of Israel for their own.

There were many democratic countries besides Hitler's Germany where the
Jews lived (and has been living) in prosperity. Or you think that in the
20th century all the world hated Jews?

<skipped>
  AP> You also know that many people in palestine were Christian and
  AP> Jewish too... yes they co-existed until hamas interfered. Hamas is
  AP> the "Muslim Brotherhood" and once they took power in palestine they
  AP> radicalized many. Started sending weapons there... burned the
  AP> Christian Churches there.

Guerrilla movement always inevitably appears in any occupied country.
There is only one remedy -- to kill these people. But it is difficult to
do it in present days, especially if you occupy the territory of
millions angry people.

  ak>> A religious fanaticism usually appears when people fight in an
  ak>> unequal war and they need a consolation in case of death. IMHO if
  ak>> a person is ready to die - this person just has no place to live
  ak>> in dignity. Something was taken away from him. More of that, some
  ak>> bad guys can create such an atmosphere in which death will look
  ak>> like a liberation from suffering. They thought, "Oh, how it is
  ak>> great to end up this fucking life and to get into paradise
  ak>> committing suicide and killing many enemies." That why we see so
  ak>> many suicidal terror acts.

  AP> ISIS takes it to the extreme though... they kill their OWN kind...
  AP> they don't give the young men any choice... join us or die. They
  AP> are like the Germans who shot their own when they refused to fight.
  AP> I'm sorry but ISIS brainwashes their people with their
  AP> indoctrination... that is part of radicalism.

The more desperate situation is the more desperate orders follow. For
instance, in time of troubles Ancient Romans killed every 10th soldier
if they ran from the battle field.

  ak>>>> Israel decided to solve all the difficulties by a mighty
  ak>>>> military force. Arabs could choose between consolation in
  ak>>>> religion and unleashing a guerrilla war. Both tendencies became
  ak>>>> stronger and stronger and joined at last, when religious Arabs
  ak>>>> gave American weapons to fanatic militants.

  AP> Palestine is rather peaceful compared to what is going on in ISIS
  AP> right now... and unfortunately our Government created ISIS.. if we
  AP> stayed in Iraq and followed everything through until it everything
  AP> stabilized maybe things would have been different. Instead we
  AP> pulled out, left minimal troops there and look what happened.

American politicians watch Hollywood movies too often; they even came
from Hollywood. Because of that they don't have the feeling of reality.
They think that every person in the world would be happy to become an
American and live like Americans. It is exactly the thing Bush thought
about when he destroyed the balance of forces in the Middle East,
invading Iraq.

<skipped>
  ak>>>> Now the most troubling consequence is that the original conflict
  ak>>>> is not the key for stopping the violence. We have a crazy circle
  ak>>>> of violence.

  AP> And it will continue until someone ends ISIS and stays the course
  AP> for as long as it takes to put a Government that is peaceful into
  AP> power. Unfortunately, as long as they have a radical theocracy
  AP> there will be fighting.

We don't like Hitler, but we don't call his army "terrorists". No need
to confuse words in the case of the IS either. It is a movement with a
great motivation and millions of open and hidden supporters. Terrorists
don't have tanks and rockets. When we want to end ISIS we should know
the reasons why it appeared and what events fuel it up.

<skipped>

  ak>> The fair elections issue which was a starting point of the Syrian
  ak>> conflict is not the key of the problem any more. Now we have here
  ak>> a endless circle of violence.

  AP> I'm really scared we will see the same thing play out here in
  AP> America.

I think you exaggerate the role of President in the US. Its banks and
shareholders are more important. Woe to those to hurt them! ;) The US
President doesn't have such an unlimited power as Putin in Russia. ;-)

<skipped>
  AP> I have always wanted to visit Russia... I have tried to learn your
  AP> language but it's not like the Latin based languages that I have
  AP> learned. I just can't quite get it. The only way I could learn it
  AP> is to visit and stay an extended period of time. But after watching
  AP> the political choices we have now for the next election I'm
  AP> wondering if apartments are cheap over there... I'm planning an
  AP> escape I feel like we are doomed no matter which one gets elected.

  AP> ... Opportunist: Someone finding himself in hot water, decides to
  AP> bathe.

Pessimist: Oh dear, this is the end! It cannot be worse!
Optimist: Surely it can. ;-)

Bye, Allen!
