WD> This is what is in the nodelist ...

And so is this;

Region,11,R11C,IL_IN_KY_OH_WI,RJ_Clay,000-64-120-173-228,300,XX

Why do you differentiate between them? They are one and the same person.

 WD> ...INA:rocasa.biz,IBN,IUC:filebot@rocasa.biz

You missed the CM and MO flag. The rest;

INA:ftn.rocasa.net,IBN,IFC,ITN:60177

is nearly identical to 546...

WD> Where are the three zeroes? ??

In all of the Region listings.

WD> You're looking at the wrong spot. Look for "Robert Clay", not "RJ
 WD> Clay".

Robert and RJ are one and the same person. We're to suffer through you
bullshit so that RJ aka Jamie has to spell it out for you?

 WD> We're talking about 1:120/546.

I'm not. I'm talking about the same person who has several listings.

RW>> Everyone here also knows that you have to dial 011 to access the
RW>> foreign exchange, then the country code, area code, city code and
RW>> then the number you wish to call.

WD> Nope. They don't know that because over 99% of the world's countries
WD> use the ITU's universal numbering scheme which says that
WD> international call are generated by dialing "00" first.

That's their problem for being fucked up.

WD> The big exception to that is the US which does it different causing
WD> heartache all over the world and they got Canada in a stranglehold to
 WD> play along.

Bullshit. The US phone industry hates how business is done in
Eurupe ... Instead, they choose, along with the Canadians to do it right.
The rest of the world knows how it's supposed to be done, but they don't
know how to lead, so they follow the Euro dummies of the world.

WD> The universal unique emergency phone number in most of the world is
WD> "112". USA of course had to do it different and introduced the
 WD> non-standard "911".

It must be a bitch being so stupid and so stubborn all at once (another
article you could write at least 3000 pages about)...The ITU recommends
that member states, the USA is a member, use either - 911, 112 or both -
in case of emergencys. Plus, the Australians decided that they weren't
happy with how the rest of the world uses either or both, so they chose
000 as their emergency number. Dumbs fucks. Oh, and Canada has their own
phone companies and they have their own way of doing things. Rather than
be stupid about it, they choose to cooperate with the leading phone
company in the region, AT&T.

WD> There are handfulls of examples re: these matters that you know shit
 WD> about.

LOL! And you're so full of shit, it runs out of your mouth. Someday, we
may be able to see a light in the darkness behind that shit filled head of
yours. (Another article you could write about, if you had the English
skills to get it right.)

RW>> So calling, 011 64 120 173 229 gets you nothing in NZ because the
RW>> number is missing one digit.

WD> That's a matter of luck. If in this case "1201" were to cover a
WD> special service like "directory inquiry", "customer service", ...
WD> then it definitely would go through. You don't seem to have that much
 WD> international experience it seems.

You're right about my international calling experience. I don't find a
need nor do I have the time to waste on calling around the world to make
inquiries about nodelist entries. Vlist does, but he's too stupid to
know what he's doing most of the time anyway...

RW>> Maybe in Europe, where phone exchanges are fucked up to begin with.

WD> Is that why American companies drool over telecom shares here?

They don't over your telecoms...they drool over the money that investers
like your rich uncle put into them...

WD> Because they are fucked up? To me it seems they're after the profits.

Your companies can be fucked up and making us (not USA) rich at the same
time. My stock portfolio has made 24% since the first of the year, and
it includes some European stocks.

RW>> Too bad you run such shitty software, eh. Irex doesn't have a
RW>> problem finding that IP number in the phone field of a nodelist.

WD> In the case of 1:120/546 Irex will also consider it a phone-number.
WD> It is constructed in accordance with the relevant standard.

Wrong. Irex, on its own, configured the node for BinkP using the now
defunct 'f546.n120.z1.fidonet.net' binkd addressing system. IOW, it used
the nodelist to look up the node and entered the listing.

When I entered the 64.120.173.229 IP number in the configuration, Irex
didn't have any problem connecting with that node. I'd show you my log,
but I'm done wasting my time with morons over such trivial bullshit...
