Every sysop knows that no such "gentlemen's agreement" can be
considered as being valid given P4.  What you are suggesting is
a conspiracy.  A conspiracy between a handful of sysops who have
a hidden agenda.

By hey.  I'll give you the chance to prove it.  If what you
say is true, then what you have is a true conspiracy.  Not just
a conspiracy theory, but an honest to God true conspiracy.  A
conspiracy of three or four sysops to control all of fidonet.

So here's the deal -

PUT UP OR SHUT UP.

Show the sysops in fidonet what real shits zone coordinators are,
or can be.  Once upon a time you were a zone coordinator.  Or so
I have been told.  Certainly you can produce this "gentlemen's
agreement" by posting it here in this echo.  Assuming there is such
an agreement, that is.

PUT UP OR SHUT UP.

No "gentlemen's agreement" should be considered valid, as none
can be valid, given P4 is the main policy document that ALL sysops
have supported (at least in principle).  Echopol1 is another policy
document that many, although not all, sysops have supported.  To say,
or suggest, that three or four individuals have the sole authority
to act on a whim doing whatever the hell they please regardless of
what anybody else says, does, or thinks stinks to high heaven.  You
know it, I know it, and every sysop in fidonet knows it.

As such, those three or four sysops who have conspired against
all the other sysops in fidonet by their "gentlemen's agreement"
(as per your claim) have, in effect, excommunicated themselves
from fidonet and are no longer members of the fidonet community.

Do you know what that means?  By default, I have become the zone 1
coordinator.  And since nobody else has claimed to be the new zone 2
coordinator. zone 3 coordinator, or zone 4 coordinator, by default
that makes me international coordinator.

My first act as international coordinator is to do away with all
zones, making the entire planet earth one giant zone, with everybody
on this planet serving as my underlings.  Naturally, I have chosen
to serve only one term.  One lifetime term.  As such, I promise not
to seek re-election ...
