Of course there is no problem.  Not for Janis.  After all,
it is up to her to decide if an individual is worthy to receive
a noze 1 node or point number.  Those she (or her underlings) deems
unworthy will never receive, much less be allowed to keep, a zone 1
node or point number.

That may be.  However, there is nothing in fidonet policy
that forbids an individual from requesting or obtaining a node
or point number from the zone of their choice.

Aside from Janis, who is a policy unto herself.

The owners of a node or point are also supposed to be real people.
However, such is not always the case.  <wink> <wink>

Say wha'?  There are no "foreign zone node number(s)" in fidonet.
None that I know of, anyway.  There is, however, a fidonet
administrative area that is technically not part of any zone but
that is controlled by the zone 1 coordinator.  I mean, where
else could you place Guam, Northern Marianas, Samoa, Soloman
Islands, Virgin Islands, Palau, and other faraway places?

Fidonet is supposed to be all about communication.  Communication
between sysops.  Not zones or nets or any other artificial link(s).
When an fidonet administrator places obstacles in the way, that
fidonet administrator is not promoting communication between sysops.
IOW, that fidonet administrator is working against your own interest
and that other sysops.

Each zone is free to have its own.  Or share with other zones.
