Does that mean that the source cannot be modified and tested _before_ the
project is updated? If a programmer has to submit his source revisions
before testing does not seem to be much of an incentive to make an effort
to improve the program. Or am I misunderstanding how the process works?

I just checked my SpamAbuse Options settings and caching is turned on for
WhoIs.

I suspect that the ISPs will initiate a "service charge" to cover the
transition period to convert from IPv4 to IPv6. It _should_ be an
automatic / seamless translation but the ISPs are likely to use it as a
money grab situation.

ml> likely, yes... especially if there's no IPv6 address for lilwin ;)

I tried doing an IPv6 address translation for lilwin using an IP calculator
and assigning the translated address to the localhost on lilwin. Of course
you know that didn't work as the OS is not up to snuff for IPv6.

I guess when IPv6 becomes a "standard", any OS that is not in the XP vein
will likely have major problems accessing the Internet / e-mail unless
someone can develop a program to update the "old" OS software???

 ml> [trim]

GM>> Are you aware of a IPv6 clone that will work on W98SE?
ml> no, sorry... i'm not... and the w98 boxen here are one of the main

ml> dunno and, to be honest, i've yet to even think about playing with
 ml> IPv6 stuffs...

T'is going to be a problem.

           Cheers ... Gerald
