Well, overkill it might be, but get it working first, and learn it's quirks, 
and then make a plan to move it to a cfdisk ...

Well my first build for the evening has just reached coreutils, so the moment 
of truth is not far off, seeing as I managed to start a little earlier than 
normal, I just might have time for a second build if it bombs out, in a few 
minutes ... :-(
