I scarcely noticed it, a mere annoyance.
Wrapped a clean sock around it and continued the upgrade.

Cleanup of the house was another matter, boy did that sucker flow.

But of course.

With money extremely tight this was my only option to get online fast
while amortizing the costs over the months.

What I've got in this _free_ computer now adds up to 
about 1/2  what a new motherboard, CPU and RAM kit would have cost.

One look at the heatsink and fan on the video card and I knew 
the old PS wouldn't have managed.

Wish CompUsa hadn't run out of 430 watt Thermalakes though as my next upgrade
will definately test this PS.

But by then I expect to run all storage via USB 3.0, that should effectively
work
around my limits.

Networking drives has an appeal too however that still comes
at a 50 percent greater premium.

Seagate's got a really interesting Terrabyte drive at a mere $100 U.S. but it's
USB 2.

Then there's this annoying DIP switch setup in the IBM.
What does it do?
Can I take it to 100MHz FSB or similar?

So far google hasn't provided documentation for me to explore further,
system's just too old :-(
