Join the club.  One interesting thing I heard on the news about the trade show
south of the border is that the stuff that attracted the most interest - the
high definition TV aside - was technology that takes advantage and supposedly
improves what is already out there.  All I could say when hearing that was,
"It's about $&%*in' time!!!"

That seems to be a popular one.  They certainly have all the bases covered.

The Brooktree one worked fantastic here until it died on me.  Especially the
'fbtv -M' option of xawtv.  I'd like to replicate that again but am distracted
with other things at the moment.

Errrrrr ... yeah.

Right.  Here it is nonexistant and has been for many years now.  People around
here weren't doing POTS even when it was doable.  On the plus side, it sure
made it easy to convert ye ol' 486 DOS Max BBS over to Linux without causing
any grief.  That turned out to be the best move I ever made wrt computers.
