It's a Gigafast f/a Future Shop rebate program. I'm sure I'm the dud, but the
HW is under warranty JIC. The address they told me to visit for settings was
posted in their printed and pdf manual. I saw nothing about dictating the
address of the browser, but I did just return with some D-Link docs that tells
me I need to do just that for it. I'll take a closer scour, in case I missed
something. BTW, the community connection to the Internet is now W'XP, and the
tech walked in for his forgotten phone just as I was trying to work the USB
drive. He loosened it up enough, so I don't have to do the floppy shuffle! Just
when I think the Provence sucks...

Checking my assumptions, you connect nothing to the WAN port, which is the only
one to access that setup page, no? You don't run factory defaults?

JB> to format the new partitions. <G+D>

MK> Yeah. I hear you there. I've done simular like
MK> forgetting to plug things in and then wondering why it
 MK> won't power up.

Or soldering a plug, to look at its casing sitting on the bench. No, I have no
idea what that's like. <L>

JB> LOL! I'll be right over with a U-Haul. I'll fill the other half with
 JB> the wooden blinds.
MK> Sounds great! We'll see you when you get here.

I might have to sell the house, to pay for the gas.

JB> Volutes... You know, it's like a pilaster, but different. <Wry-G>

MK> Okay. I think I get you now. I am not sure I need
MK> anything like that but the blinds do interest me. Right
MK> now I have the ones that got banned, or they were thinking

MK> haven't bothered to test mine. Do you think I should?

Stop licking them, and don't grind them up for smoothies. Take two Aspirin, and
call me in the morning.

JB> ornamentation. ...OK, if you look at a four poster bed, the four
JB> capitals, if you will - are volutes.

MK> That would work on my current bed. Nothing like that on
 MK> there at the moment.

Got a *sweet* headboard just last week. Again, it's the shipping that would
kill us. I can get the best bargain in the world, but if it cost as much to
ship it as purchasing new... Toss me an e-mail. Maybe we can hijack a ride for
some stuff.

JB> Trouble is, I've had to get creative to fit it in here.

MK> Really? I haven't noticed that but it does happen every
MK> so often, perhaps even more then all of the other echoes
MK> combined. I didn't know it was a 'must' though.

Huh... Wha? We could take the topic to home'n garden... (Or whatever it's
called.)

JB>> ...And the world rotates in the direction it should.
 MK>> We have a choice?
JB> Ya... Go to the other side of the equator, and look North.

MK> That is simply perspective and has nothing to do with
MK> changing the spin whatsoever. I was thinking something
 MK> more dramatic then that.

Well, if a change is a good as a wink to a blind man...

 JB> contracted from cooperate.

MK> Yeah. I remember that well. Not much of that happening
MK> these daze but you have my attention if you think you
MK> could make it real wrt hardware.

Sounds to me like you have a pretty good start. One fella is soldering caps on
you MB, I'd be building your headboard if'n I was there, and didn't another
neighbour work on this 'mencoder' project with you? Sounds like you you don't
need to take minutes at meetings.
