Well, hell, Gary, we can sit here and trade anecdotal stuff all day long and
not accomplish anything.  The only way to make sense of it is to talk about the
characteristics of the group - in this case, liberals.  We all know what the
basic characteristics of liberals are, and I know that *you* know what I meant
because you basically concede that in your last statement above.

So, in the interest of clarity, lets agree that when someone says "liberals"
(plural) one is talking about the "group of people generally referred to as
liberals, or politically left wing.  If you want to talk about individuals that
is an entirely different conversation.
