Ärende: Civil Rights.
=====================
On 19 Apr 06 08:28:01, John Massey got back to Danny Ceppa
-> Re: Civil Rights.

 DC> And, just how does that hold up with the voters who were
 DC> prevented from accessing the polls?

 JM> Your premise that there were voters prevented from accessing the
 JM> polls has not been proven. In fact not one person has come forward to
 JM> claim they were prevented from voting.

But it has been:

It is impossible to determine the total number of voters turned away from the
polls or deprived of their right to vote. It is clear that the 2000
presidential election generated a large number of complaints about voting
irregularities in Florida. The Florida attorney general's office alone
received more than 3,600 allegations-2,600 complaints and 1,000 letters.[2] In
addition, both the Democratic and Republican parties received many complaints
from Floridians who either could not vote or experienced difficulty when
attempting to vote.[3] These widespread complaints prompted Florida's governor
to sign an executive order creating the Select Task Force on Election
Procedures, Standards and Technology.[4] The task force was formed to examine
the concerns that had been raised about Florida's election process and to
recommend reforms where necessary.[5]

Republican parties in Florida. See "Complaints of Voting Irregularities in

reforming and updating Florida's election technology. See Governor's Task
