AH> Hi yet again, James! This is the last

AH!!! I'm out the door in twenty to eighty minutes, and I just read ahead. Now
I NEED to reply, and put my socks and shoes, brush my teeth, load up the
truck!!! !!! !!!<L>

 AH> Thankyou.... :-)

De nada. ;-)

I wish it wasn't, as I'm usually easily intimidated. With the secretary that
wouldn't tell me the room to write my physics exam, I was as forceful as I
could be with her, but I didn't even *think* to go above her head, or if I did,
(It was a few years ago.) her refusal to get the principal, was enough of a
roadblock to back me down. Now, if I had been taught how to be an effective
'squeak', I'm sure I could have raised an appropriate ruckus, other than
starting her on fire.

I don't know what motivates these people, other than they must be repressed for
eighty percent of their lives. When they take the saddle of being in charge,
they glee with the ability to push others around. Like I say, I don't quite
know what category that would indicate, and I'm still quite baffled by the
type, just less likely to let them push me around.

I do exude an air of confidence when I walk in a room, but I am easily
befuddled when an a-hole feels the need to push me around. Maybe, I just enjoy
serenity, and am rather perplexed when others are not the same as I am. <?>

Exactly! A harmonic, tuned to the right front suspension. When the rain channel
is not stressed, everything is hunky Dorie. When pressured, however...

AH> effect you get when you use another percussion
AH> instrument & your snare drum rattles! You

Oh, you're good! Stretch the skin a little more, or less, and it goes away.

AH> recognized it because you are a musician. The

AH> about xxx, I know about yyy, so we can put our
AH> heads together" is lost on many people. But
 AH> that's how Dallas & I like to work. :-)

I suspect a lot of a mechanics' job is reading their customer, as does a
medical doctor.

AH> We have two eyes, two ears, and one
 AH> mouth for a reason.... ;-)

Not everyone gets the math. <G>

JB> and the appliance guys/gals should likely posses
JB> enough experience that a cloths dryer isn't designed
JB> to work for an eight hour day without a load in it

AH> It seems obvious to me, but maybe it's
AH> not so obvious to others. One of the problems
AH> with being intuitive is distinguishing what's
AH> obvious to others & what isn't. I offer one
AH> idea & they say "Duh, everybody knows that!" I
AH> keep quiet about another, thinking they already
AH> know, and find they don't... (sigh).

There's a rub. You want to give the smart-a the benefit of the doubt, after
they have called you an idiot for not assuming they know nugget 'A', so 'B' is
assumed erroneously. Maybe that's why I hate know-it-alls. There's something
about them that I hate about myself. O-8*

 AH> [...]
AH> different when you factor in the human
 AH> element.... :-)

If only the rest of the world was perfect too, eh? <LOL>

JB> That's where it gets interesting, doesn't it? I mean
JB> the interpersonal dynamics are a lot easier to understand,
JB> and I'm just scratching the surface.

AH> That's my take on it! And now you've
AH> got me scratching further below the surface than
AH> I'd done before. Keep up the good work...
 AH> [chuckle].

De Nada! <L>

Now, what shoes should I wear? O-8*
