What's wrong with Hyperterminal?  (Just joking Tom, I know it's a Micro$oft
product <grin>)

For you, I did a Google for "telnet client"...  (use the quote marks
otherwise you get some sites for telnet and other sites for clients, but
the quotes ensure you're going to get both).

There are about 243,000 possibilities  ;-))

The following is an excerpt from one of the possibilities:

If you like the simplicity of the telnet client that comes with Windows,
but are not that happy with the functionality, dtelnet might be what you
are looking for. Unlike most other telnet clients for Windows, dtelnet is
not massively over-featured and confusing to use.

I did NOT download / test it -- that's your task. <g>

I have no idea if this is the correct program for you, but you'll probably
like the price -- FREEWARE! and development is ongoing (although, it
appears to have been locked at the current version 1.2.1 -- November 19th,
2004). Like _most_ sourceforge projects, the author(s) are 'probably'
reachable and supporting their program.
