I did an easy stove top version yesterday.  I used pre cooked macaroni
(heated it a bit in the microwve to take the chill off) and made the
cheese sauce. Comvbined the 2 and heated it on the stove for a few
minutes more.  Not the classiest but it made an easy lunch.

Not quite as creamy but you would have interesting nuances of flavor,
depending on what kind of stock you used and what went into the making
of it.

At a point like that, I'd consider hauling out the fine china (AKA paper
plates and other disposable tablewear). It would cut the amount of clean
up and time on your feet down. (G)

BTW, the paper went in before lunch yesterday. Now to start reading for
the next 2 classes.  I'm not sure how many I'll take in spring. I'm
planning to go out to Las Vegas to help Rachel a bit when baby #3 comes.

Our storage is limited so I go with regular dishes.  They end up in the
dishwasher for clean up & then back onto the shelf for cereal, fruit,
salad or whatever.

I know what you mean. I finished the paper and went right into sewing a
diaper bag. Finished it about 12:40 this afternoon for a 1:00 baby
shower where it was quite admired.
