Good going! I know trying to find bread that tasted like some that we
had in Germany was elusive. Finally found some at the commissary at Fort
Bliss when I went with Steve for an appointment. Turns out, it was made
in a German bakery in TX. But the German bakery where we lived in AZ
made the same bread---------------but it didn't have the same taste.

Could be, trying to remember what something you had as a kid and how it
tastes can be tricky. Especially as adult tastes can be so different
from childhood ones, if you know what I mean. Some things you disliked
as a child (or liked) you may like (or dislike) as an adult as your
tastes mature and change.

It's going to be a lot longer than dad's rehab took. Her physical
condition to start with is a lot worse than Dad's was, even tho he broke
his at age 88 and she is 83.

No, it's the bear; he's been quite the pain again this summer.

Especially if you heat them in the microwave. On the stove top, Mom
stood a good chance of burning them. That wasn't as much of an issue
with the microwave, thankfully.
