Disappointing: by all reports, that country's food is supposed to
be hot. But white folks, even after generations in warm climates,
generally (you appear to be the glaring exception) heat mild hot food.

Do we now get to laugh at your country's bureaucratic idiots the
way you've been laughing at ours for the longest time? I mean,
our voting population isn't quite the level of sheep that
outsiders like to characterize it as - maybe yours is? If not,
why don't you depose the suckers?

Braised Lamb Shanks
cat: main, brewery
servings: 6

2 Tb olive oil
6 lamb shanks, trimmed
1 lg sweet onion, diced
3/4 c flour
16 fl Old Burnside Ten Penny Ale
2 Tb chopped garlic
2 c water
1 stem rosemary
4 chicken bouillon cubes
2 stalks celery, large diced
2 carrots, large diced
2 parsnips, large diced
1 medium turnip, peeled and large diced
3 Tb chopped fresh parsley
fresh cracked black pepper to taste

Braised Lamb Shanks with root vegetables and simmered
in Ten Penny Ale
 
Heat 10-qt pot with olive oil. Place lamb shanks in
pot and brown evenly. Add garlic and onion. Cook 10 min,
stirring constantly. Stir in flour and let brown 5 min.
Add beer, water and rosemary. Simmer for 1 hr, stirring
every 15 min. Add celery, parsnip, turnip and carrots.
Simmer for 30 min. Remove from heat. Remove rosemary.
Add parsley and black pepper. Serve in bowls.
